FAQ

What is Native Bridge?

Native Bridge is a cross-chain channel built directly into a blockchain’s core protocol. Instead of handing assets to third-party contracts or relayers, the two related chains (for example a mainnet and its side chain, L2, or shard) use built-in validation logic to “lock and mint / unlock” assets. Security is therefore tied to the consensus and upgrade processes of the chains themselves, rather than to external custodians.

What is the difference between Native bridge and Liquidity bridge?

Native Bridge is like an official tunnel directly connecting two railways: the blockchains’ core protocols lock the asset on one side and mint or release it on the other.

Liquidity Bridge is more like two currency-exchange booths that each keep a cash reserve; you deposit tokens into the bridge’s liquidity pool and immediately receive the equivalent asset already sitting on the target chain—no new tokens are minted. Native bridges inherit the security guarantees of the connected chains but usually handle only the chains’ “official” assets, whereas liquidity bridges are faster and support more assets but depend on the size of their liquidity pools and the security of their smart contracts.

Which chains are supported?

L1: Ethereum Bitcoin Solana and more.

L2: Arbitrum Optimism Base and more.
